Hundreds of philosophies, teaching and lifestyles compete for the hearts and minds of Latin American children and consequently affect their everyday decisions. At EGM in Latin America, we strive to show these children that answers to their questions and concerns lay in the Scriptures and through the love of Jesus Christ. We want children and their families to know and love Jesus, and to see that the Bible is not just a collection of stories but a manual for their lives.

 

Description

The launching of the ministry in Chile, immediately opened a flood gate of interest in having EGM work in other Latin American countries. Latin America has experienced widespread spiritual revival and much of that growth has occurred with children and young families. Every Generation Ministries is working to equip churches on a worldwide basis for effective ministry with children and their families. We have been contacted by church leaders in Argentina, Peru, Honduras and Mexico regarding the possibility of starting an EGM ministry in their country. We are currently beginning ministries in the following countries:  Argentina, Mexico, and Peru.

Goals

These new ministries in Latin America have begun to accomplish the following goals in preperation to establish fully functioning ministries:

  1. Conduct research and develop an EGM profile of two targeted countries including population statistics, church growth, key church data, key leaders, significant spiritual centers, population and church demographics, children’s ministry materials evaluation, children’s ministry needs assessment. (complete in all three countries)
  2. Organize four children’s workers in two targeted countries to develop a network of contacts and expose children’s workers in local churches to the EGM philosophy of

  3. Organize sixteen meetings in two countries with church leaders (pastors, Sunday School teachers, denominational leaders, children’s workers, etc..) to assess the needs of their churches in terms of children’s ministry.  (complete in Mexico)
  4. Establish a database of contacts in two countries including pastors, teachers, other

     

    children’s workers, potential Board members and potential staff members.  (In progress in all three countries)
  5. Prepare recommendation for the EGM Board of Directors with a specific plan for establishing an EGM ministry in two countries. (In progress in Mexico and Argentina)
