God's timing is perfect.  

When Daniel Lagos met Daniel Watts in 2001, he was drawn to the ministry and knew that God was calling him to be a part of Every Generation Ministries (EGM).  What he did not know was that the Lord was preparing him to be the EGM-Chile Director.  Daniel Lagos has been involved since the inception of the ministry and served as chairman of the board from 2002.

In addition, Daniel is a very respected leader in the Chilean Christian community.  Anyone who knows him would tell you that he has a deep love for the Lord and passion for children.  He is an Executive Pastor in his church, he has served as the Director for Gideon International in Chile and he is a leader in the Methodist Pentecostal Union.

In August 2006, EGM-Chile's Director, Pastor Roberto Rodriguez, suffered from a serious brain aneurysm.  Even though he has had a miraculous recovery, he has been unable to continue in his role as EGM-Chile's Director.  At this critical time in the life of the ministry, where Chile was left without a director, the Lord confirmed in Daniel's heart, that he was to courageously step up and assume this role.  In November, he quit his long standing job as a Linguistics Professor and began serving as Chile's Director.

During the past 3 months, Daniel has worked rigorously to spread the EGM vision in Chile.  He has attended pastors meetings, conferences and seminars and presented the ministry to more than 800 pastors around the country.  He has shared with these leaders about the importance of children.  He has talked to them about ways that EGM can partner with their churches and help them to develop children's programs and provide relevant curriculum.  In addition, he has hired 2 directors of development who are currently writing children's curriculum and organizing upcoming teacher training conferences.  There are 3 teacher training conferences scheduled for May 2007.

We are so thankful that Daniel listened to the Lord and took this courageous step to serve as EGM-Chile's Director.  He has already made a huge impact and we are excited to see how God will continue to work through him.  We are confident that the Lord will use his efforts to bring many children into His loving arms.
