Update from Chile

Ximena is a 10 year old girl of one of the congregations of Limache whose teacher was trained in the EGM seminar held in Quillota in August 2007.  Her teacher now reports that she arrives with her little brothers of 7 and 8 years each Sunday.  She listens to the class prepared by her teacher, who has taught her to love the Lord.

In the two seminars in Puerto Montt, we have had testimonies of teachers that were trained in previous seminars in the past by EGM-US staff.  They reported that the training led them to carry out a more effective ministry with the children in their congregations.

The training provided by EGM in Chile has filled a void that exists in the different congregations and we have been able to see how we could be a blessing for the churches in Chile.  As the training has been initiated, we have been able to see 1,046 teachers trained by the national Directors of Development since April 2007.

Praise and Prayer

1. Praise the Lord that over 1,000 teachers have been trained in effective children's ministry since April.
2. Please pray that God will provide the necessary economic resources to be able to expand the teacher seminars further North and South in Chile.
3. Pray for the team of curriculum writers that have and are being trained by EGM-US staff.  Pray that the EGM-Chile staff can effectively lead them to develop the much needed curriculum for Chile.
