Can You Help My Teacher?
IMAGINE… trying to be a creative and effective teacher without even the most basic tools in your hands - things like markers or scissors or a glue stick. Imagine trying to help children complete craft projects without even a simple set of crayons for the children to use. In many of the countries where Every Generation Ministries is serving, these items are not so easily available. Even when they can be purchased, the cost is often out of reach for the average Sunday school teacher. Every Generation Ministries exists to transform children in Christ through His church. We do this by partnering with national leaders all over the world. Every Generation Ministries has helped to establish national ministry teams in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. These national ministry teams work with local churches providing them innovative teacher training and high-quality Bible teaching materials that equip their children’s workers to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with children and families. You can help these dedicated children’s workers be more effective in their ministry to children by participating in our Teacher Tool Kit project.

Testimonies: “I visited a Sunday school class in Poland and was thrilled and heartbroken with what I witnessed. The teacher had an obvious love for the children and them for her. The children listened eagerly as she creatively shared the truth of God’s Word. For a moment I forgot where I was. In response to the lesson she asked them to write down their prayer needs. As she handed out the supplies for the activity I was shocked into reality. She had no paper so she had cut up pieces of cardboard for the children to each have a small piece. There was one ink pen, one worn pencil and one broken crayon for the group to share. I saw God at work in the hearts of the children, but was burdened to think how much more could be done with just a little help. I want to help these committed teachers have the supplies they need.” “Receiving these teacher tool kits let’s the teachers know there are people who pray for them, care about them and want to encourage them in the work they are doing with the children. In Eastern Europe, teachers have few tools in their classrooms. They need these basic items so that they can focus more on the important spiritual part of their work – teaching the truths of God’s Word to the children.” “Helping with training children’s workers in Oaxaca, Mexico was a fun, challenging and heartbreaking experience. A large group of enthusiastic men and women gathered in the hot desert sun to learn all they could and caught on quickly to the concepts and were eager to share with the children in the afternoons. They were thrilled when we handed out bags of materials that they could use to not only prepare for their classes those few days, but could take them home to their churches.” |
