How is EGM different from other ministries? |
|
EGM has a cooperative approach to ministry. We recognize God working in and through other ministries and have had the joy of working together with them in various ministry projects. There are three recognized distinctives that make EGM a unique ministry.
Church – EGM focuses our ministry on the church. We work through the local church. Our staff is actively involved in their home churches. Church leaders serve on the Boards that govern our ministries. Churches give financial support to our ministries. Churches invite EGM to develop a ministry in their country. Children – EGM focuses our ministry on children. We want children to hear the gospel, experience the love of Christ and become more like Him. While many may think children’s ministry is childcare, EGM believes that children can know Christ and grow as His child. National Ministries – EGM believes in empowering and partnering with national Christian leaders. We love working with Christians from Poland, Belarus, Hungary, Romania, Chile, Egypt, Argentina, Mexico, and Ukraine. We can learn much from them. In fact we can learn from each other and together learn from the Master. Taken individually these three may not be unique to EGM. However, taken together EGM is a unique ministry movement that is equipping local churches around the world to reach children for Christ and help them grow in His family.
