Equip Every Local Church In The World For Effective Ministry With Children And Their FamiliesAround the world there are churches of 15,000 and 15. They meet in parks, beautiful buildings, caves, homes and boats. In those churches there are children who need to grow in Christ. In their communities are children and families who need to know and experience the live changing love of Jesus Christ. EGM is working to see each and every one of those churches equipped to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to children.
International Curriculum ProjectChurch leaders in every country long for teaching materials that have been developed from within their own cultural context, that are relevant and meaningful to those teachers and children who will benefit from them. EGM understands this need and is responding. The International Curriculum Project is a joint effort between EGM’s team in the United States and our national teams, aiming to create a nationally-owned, culturally and linguistically relevant Sunday School Curriculum in each country. EGM will create the skeleton, or the most basic structural elements of a Sunday School curriculum; the national ministries will then “flesh out” the elements and publish. This curriculum will give children’s workers the tools necessary to minister effectively to children, focusing on: 1) relationship 2) experience 3) truth 4) discussion and 5) response.
Database ProjectIn the last fifteen years the world of ministry has undergone substantial changes. One of the most significant agents of this change has been technology. Technological developments in the area of communications (mobile telecommunications, facsimile, e-mail, satellite communication, wireless technology etc….) have narrowed the gap between previously isolated peoples and cultures. More so than ever before, quantitative and qualitative evaluation of ministry efforts can be undertaken with reasonable expectations for meaningful results. Nowhere is this more significant than in the area of international work.
EGM’s need for quantitative evaluation is rooted in our desire to see every ministry endeavor be as fruitful, efficient and pleasing to God as possible. Quantitative evaluation will enable Every Generation Ministries to make changes and adjustments to our ministry programs that will allow more children to be transformed by the love of Christ. Quantitative evaluation is needed to maximize the resources that God has entrusted to the ministry so that our efforts will be efficient and fruitful. This kind of evaluation is essential in order to provide ongoing information for each of our ministries; the kind of information that will help show EGM which ministries are truly effective and which programs require significant changes. The Database Project focuses on quantitative evaluation of our ministry effectiveness.
Ministry ExpansionEvery year EGM talks to church leaders from around the world who love children and want to start a ministry to help churches in their country minister effectively to children. We are working with those leaders to research the current resources and needs within each country and to create the connections that we pray will lead to the founding of a new national ministry. We are currently pursuing ministry possibilities in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
