Children Matter to God
Why EGM?
One of the characteristic features of Jesus’ life and ministry was the importance He attached to children. Jesus wanted children to experience His life transforming gospel. Today, children are living in a world that can be filled with enormous challenges. Whether rich or poor, boys and girls long to experience unconditional love, meaningful relationships and purpose in life. The Good news is Jesus offers them a new life that gives hope, peace and His unconditional love even amidst the problems of this world. Children need spiritual transformation in Christ Jesus through His church. The needs is immediate and urgent!
We believe that there are three essential forces acting on children today:
- Spiritual Confusion – Children are raised in spiritual climates that mislead them into spiritual confusion (Islam, Judaism, Atheism, Western Secularism, Buddhism, Shintoism, etc.). Children experience despair, lack of hope, lack of joy and purpose in life.
- Social Upheaval – Children are being buffeted by the following factors: Disintegration of the nuclear and extended family, alcoholism, inexpensive narcotics and general pressures of a fallen world. We have also seen entire societies in upheaval as evidenced in recent events throughout the Middle East.

Economic Turmoil – Economic turmoil affects children (street kids, latch key kids, children in wealthy families experiencing conditional love, marketing to children, etc.).
Around the world, children’s workers in local churches are looking for fresh new ways to counter these forces with the love of Christ. EGM is responding to that request partnering with national Christian leaders transforming boys and girls in Christ through His church!
