Web-Initiative
Action Plan
To meet the need of expanding the reach of EGM’s training and materials, we will create a website for each national ministry, comprising four basic elements:
-
General ministry information, including a national ministry overview, values, mission statement, news, donation
option and other general ministry items. -
Children’s ministry materials, available in PDF or flash format that children’s workers can download by signing up for a subscription service. A reasonable subscription charge will be an important component of each National Ministry Team’s efforts to become operationally self-supporting.
-
Internet children’s ministry community, including forums, chats and blogs that will help create mutual support among children’s workers and encourage a learning exchange.
-
Ideas/resource bank, including video presentations of EGM’s “Model Children’s Worker” training programs covering these topics: “Model Children’s Worker Overview,” “Experiential Methods,” “Teaching the Truth,” “Small Group Discussion,” “Life Response” and “Relational Ministry.”
The curriculum will embody EGM’s five essential elements of a Model Children’s Worker with each lesson including:
1) Experiential Activities
2) Bible Teaching
3) Small Group Discussion Questions
4) Life Response Activities
5) A Relational Context
The core (or skeleton) of the curriculum will be developed by central writing teams and then sent to our national teams in various countries who will then add the real life discussion and practical life application aspects of the lessons. Activity pages and regional artwork will complete the materials “fleshing” them out to be absolutely culturally relevant. The final approved materials will be printed and distributed by the national teams in their own countries.
