Equip Churches

Children experience transformation through churches. EGM establishes ministries that come alongside churches to help them develop a fruitful and effective children’s ministry. We work with local churches to evangelize the boys and girls in their communities, equip those children to live the Christian life and give them opportunities to serve.

The mandate for the local church (also called “The Great Commission”) can be found in Matthew 28:19, 20:

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

These words are Jesus’ final words giving guidance, direction and vision to His disciples. The passage has long been considered as the “marching orders” for the church of Jesus Christ. From these instructions and other key passages from God’s Word, Every Generation Ministries has identified four lasting principles that should mark the children’s ministry of every local church. As supportive relationships are developed with churches, it’s these fundamentals that are emphasized as guiding principles for effective ministry:

1. A Model Children’s Ministry in a local church is to be dedicated to exposing children outside the faith and outside the church to the truths of God’s Word.

2. A Model Children’s Ministry in a local church gives children the tools to live as followers of Christ and become more and more like Jesus (a transformational ministry result).

3. A Model Children’s Ministry in a local church empowers children to minister to others, exercising their God-given gifts.

4. A Model Children’s Ministry in a local church is led by people who believe in the importance of ministry to children.
