EGM'S Ministry
Leadership Development
Chilean children’s workers in churches want help and EGM-Chile is ready to help them!
The earthquake that rocked this South American nation has awakened a great desire among God’s people. They have felt the power of God in a very personal way and are ready to step out to share the Word of God with those who have yet to hear.
Our EGM team is answering the call of those working with children through a variety of Leadership Development efforts. Courses in the biblical model for children’s ministry have been enthusiastically received. Regional conferences and training offered in churches are well attended. Another earthquake is on its way! God is shaking up the world of children’s ministry in Chile and we’re thankful EGM can be a part of it!
International Curriculum Initiative
When Dr. Daniel Lagos was first approached about joining the effort to help establish an EGM presence in his country, his first priority was to see curriculum resources offered to children’s workers in churches.
The dream he shared with so many other Christian leaders in Chile is finally coming to pass. As part of EGM’s International Curriculum Initiative, the EGM team in Chile accepted the challenge to create the first ever children’s ministry curriculum. Their desire from the beginning was for a culturally relevant, biblically sound, innovative resource that would result in the transformation of children. We praise God that the curriculum work is moving forward in the capable hands of both paid and volunteer staff members. Their commitment has resulted in the recent publication of the first few books of a 3-year program of lessons for three age groups. Church leaders are thrilled with the books and more are planned.
Fund Development
It’s a challenge to help Chilean believers understand their need to contribute to the support of this interdenominational work to help churches do effective children’s ministry. However, the board of directors in Chile has accepted the challenge. An aggressive fund development plan has been established and God is blessing these initial efforts in fund development.

There are over 25,000 evangelical churches in Chile. Chilean leaders estimate that nearly fifty percent have no active ministry with children. Our team is out to change that!
EGM-Chile was our first ministry in Latin America. Pioneering the work in Latin America, EGM-Chile has established excellent working relationships with the largest evangelical denominations in Chile. The Chile ministry is working with hundreds of churches providing them with excellent Spanish language training programs and Bible teaching materials. Most importantly, thousands of children are being impacted for Jesus Christ.

Pray for God to encourage the hearts of those who were discouraged by the effects of the massive earthquake that recently rocked the country. The effects are still evident today.
Pray for Chilean believers to see the need to support the local work of EGM as they see God using the team in the service of local churches.
